Description claire robinson 2011-06-27 16:45:38 CEST
get_iplayer is an open source application for streaming & recording content from BBC iPlayer.

git link - http://git.infradead.org/get_iplayer.git

It is available for Fedora in RPMFusion.

"get_iplayer does not circumvent any digital rights management security. get_iplayer does not circumvent any effective technological measures. The BBC does not implement any such measures. They use RTMP which is a streaming protocol now publicly published by Adobe. "

Thankyou :)

No problem - it woks fine for me - you should try it - at command line simply :-

get-iplayer //lists all the available programs
get-player strictly //lists the episodes of strictly
get-iplayer 947 --get // Will download using program id (947) :-

947: Time to Remember - 1. Pioneers of Aviation, BBC Four, Factual,History,TV, default

get-iplayer --help //For lots more!

When the time limit for viewing expires it offers to delete them (when the app is next run)

Enjoy! :)
