kernel, marja11 The nvidia304 pre-compiled driver was removed as it violated the GPL terms of the kernel - it should have been obsoleted on update by dkms-nvidia304 and the module built at startup, did that not happen? I don't know if it violated the GPL terms of the kernel but in others distros, it exists. Whe i update my system (mageia 5) i don't have notifications about driver compilation. How compile it at boot ? I think it's not compiled because it doesn't work. whats the output of: rpm -qa |grep nvidia304 rpm -qa |grep kernel dkms status CC:

(none) For the record, the bug report has been closed as WONTFIX by the bug reporter himself, not Mageia packagers. |
