Description of problem: I just found an annoyance in MATE using the 4.7.0-desktop-2.mga6 kernel. Everytime I login to MATE I see kalarm being started in the top panel even thou I recently unchecked the box in the kalarm settings to not have it started on login. I'm not using any Testing medias or Backports medias.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 16.04.3

How reproducible: Everytime.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install MATE, Cinnamon, GNOME and Plasma5.
2. Login to MATE.
3. Uncheck the box to prevent kalarm to be started on next login.
4. Reboot the computer.
5. Login to MATE again and voila! kalarm is started once again even thou the box to not load it is still unchecked.

I haven't tested to use a new user account, but I can do that if needed.

Checked with a fresh new user account and I can't reproduce this issue. What else can I do and check?

I stand corrected. I DO see kalarm on the panel for the new user account. It took some time for it to start or show thou.

If the box to _not_ load it is unchecked, then I'd expect it to load ;-)

I assume you meant that you removed the tick in

KAlarm -> Settings -> Configure KAlarm -> General -> Run Mode -> Start at login

Is that what you meant?

Does that tick stay removed, or does it get auto-added back?

And removing the tick before "Start at login" there doesn't work either?

Do you mind checking whether it works better in Plasma5?

I tested now in Plasma5 and didn't see any icon appearing in the panel, but if I switch to Cinnamon it appears.

So, It's seen in both Cinnamon and MATE, but not in Plasma5.

No objection, because no one reported (in this report) hitting the same issue, nor did anyone add him/herself to the CC who might have (had) this problem.
