Adobe provides "new ppapi" plugin for linux.
Since many sites still use flash and chrome based browsers don't support the old plugin, maybe you can provide a new/changed package for this plugin?

Fedora states (https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Chromium) to install the .so to
/usr/lib64/chromium/PepperFlash/ 

but none of the following worked:
/usr/lib64/chromium-browser
/usr/lib64/chromium-browser/PepperFlash
