Description David Walser 2016-08-08 17:16:09 CEST
In a VM that I upgraded to Cauldron, Quassel no longer is able to connect to Freenode IRC.

This configuration works on Mageia 5. I have it using chat.freenode.net with SSL on ports 6697 and 7000, through an HTTP Proxy. tcpdump shows it does send traffic to the Proxy. I see the CONNECT, the 200 Connection Established, and the NICK and USER commands being sent out, but Quassel says Connection failed.

Shlomi tried it on his system and was able to get Quassel to work through an HTTP Proxy, so I don't know why it isn't working for me.

The maintainer might know :-)

Did Shlomi try with SSL, too?

I think it should be fixed in the next quassel update :)
