marja11 Hi Auréllen! catfish starts fine here (Mageia x86-64 v6/Cauldron) from the konsole/xterm command line in both my regular account with Xfce from startx, and in a new user - "kdetest" - running jwm on startx. Can you please try to see if it happens for you in a new UNIX user account running IceWM, JWM or a different lightweight window manager? Furthermore, what is your computer's hardware specs and are you on i586 or x86-86?

Resolving as WORKSFORME due to the fact that I was unable to reproduce the problem, and that the original reporter has been unresponsive.
