kernel oops
Thierry Vignaud 2016-07-14 22:56:59 CEST

Summary: kernel oopses on drm on starting with vbox-5.1 => kernel oopses on drm on starting with vbox-5.1 ("BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at (null)")
Source RPM: virtualbox-5.1 => virtualbox-5.1.0-1.mga6

Comment 2 Thierry Vignaud 2016-07-14 23:17:19 CEST
Removing vboxadditions-kernel-4.7.0-desktop-0.rc7.3.mga6-5.1.0-1.mga6.x86_64 (and thus virtualbox-guest-additions-5.1.0-1.mga6.x86_64) "fixes" it.
Comment 3 Thomas Backlund 2016-07-15 00:03:46 CEST
This also happends on vbox 5.0.24, so it's kernel specific...

iirc I have seen some drm fixes on the way upstream... if not I'll try to bisect it as I can reproduce it
Comment 4 Thomas Backlund 2016-07-15 04:53:24 CEST
Should be fixed with:

virtualbox-5.1.0-2.mga6
kmod-vboxadditions-5.1.0-2.mga6

Status: NEW => RESOLVED
Resolution: (none) => FIXED
