works well on a hp elitebook 6930, but still, perhaps you could look into it a bit :)

What is the output of the following command in a terminal/konsole:

   upower -d


Which desktop environment are you using?

I had the same problem when I installed sta1 but ni more in latest cauldron. Was it a live or classical installation ?
