Please check with drakedm http://doc.mageia.org/mcc/5/en/content/drakedm.html which one you're currently using. Please, when that happens again, do also attach journalctl.txt that is the result of running, as root, journalctl -ab > journalctl.txt right after you got the desktop up by switching to tty2 and back.
