Trying to install Mageia 6 sta1 on a separate HDD didn't help. When trying to install the boot loader, it fails with: "Une erreur est survenue. grub2-install failed: installation pour la plate-forme i386-pc grub2-install: attention: cette étiquette de partition GPT ne contient pas de partition d'amorçage BIOS; l'embarquage ne sera pas possible. grub2-install: erreur: l'embarquage est impossible, il est pourtant nécessaire pour les installations interdisques. ... propagated." Don't ask me to translate it, because I have no idea what "embarquage" and "étiquette" mean in this context. Note that I selected "auto-partition" on the 2nd disk. Windows 10 and Mageia 5 are installed on the 1st disk. Forget comment 1. The error was that my machine booted using the DVD in legacy (BIOS) mode. Rebooting in UEFI mode works, and I can now install Mageia 6 sta1 on the 2nd disk. Unfortunately, Mageia 6 is unable to start after reboot due to partition corruptions. But that's another bug.
