Description Frédéric "LpSolit" Buclin 2016-07-05 19:06:42 CEST
When starting pidgin 2.11.0, it's unable to recognize IRC. Under "Comptes > Gérer les comptes" (I guess: Accounts > Manage Accounts), all protocols are set to "Inconnu" (unknown). And when clicking "Edit", the list of protocols is empty. This means that I cannot connect to IRC at all. This is a severe regression.

I only use IRC, so I don't know if other protocols are affected too. Pidgin 2.10.11 is working fine.

Cannot reproduce. Make sure all related packages were updated.

pidgin, pidgin-i18n and pidgin-plugins. I don't think there are other related packages.

See the list of packages at the end of https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18754#c3

You probably have at least lib64purple0 too.
Comment 4 Frédéric "LpSolit" Buclin 2016-07-05 19:24:04 CEST
ok, for some reason, selecting pidgin 2.11.0 only selected pidgin-i18n and pidgin-plugins, but not lib64purple0. This last one was still at 2.10.11.

Now it works. Sorry for the noise.
