x86_64 I forgot to mention it was all done after booting the livedvd, I went straight to the 'Install Mageia' option. Since then I have been able to install it from within the livecd. Choosing the keyboard option worked, as everything else. But this time after getting to the Setup Users screen, and adding Root & Users passwords and clicking OK, it seemed to froze for a bit. I pressed Ctl-Alt-F3 to see what was going on and then went back to Ctl-Alt-F1 and Plasma5 login screen was there. (In reply to Stephen Pettin from comment #0) > > I pressed Ctl-Alt-F1 and see 'Starting host name Service' and it stop. > Ctl-Alt-F3 I am able to log in as root but didn't know what to do or try. > Please then run, still as root: journalctl -a > journalctl.txt and attach it to this bug report. Please say so if you forgot how to copy the file to a USB key or to your hard disk in text mode. Summary:

draklive No need for logs, the "Install" option in iso boot menu on -sta1 isos is broken. I thought it got added to errata for -sta1 but maybe not. So for now, only booting to live mode and starting the install from there works. We now have the fix for that, so it will be on next isos.
