I noticed that selecting boinc-client in Mageia software manager does not request boinc-client library as a dependency, but it is required.

You might also want to include the library as part of the dependency for the boinc-manager too, but fortunately, it correctly does request boinc-client, so it might be seen as duplicate request.

I'll also include these references since there appears to be more work needed to get boinc running right (seperate issue from installer), even though it does appear to be running boinc in the background:

This is NOT an installer bug but a packaging issue with boinc

On a fresh Mageia 7, i installed boinc-client and boinc-manager and it just works. boinc-client-7.14.2-3.mga7.src.rpm


Closing this as fixed. Please repoen if that was wrong, and provide which package name should be requested - I dont find a boinc library package.
