Distribution=Mageia release 5 (Official) for x86_64
CPU=Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.20GHz

That makes two weeks that I receive
alerts about updates and it is
impossible for me to install ?

What exactly do you do when you see an alert about an update?
(Please be as precise as possible).


Apart from that:

* Do you get any error messages? If so, what exactly?

* Can you still install a package?

* What is the output of

     rpm -qa | grep rpmdrake

* and of 

     rpm -qa | grep mgaonline

Hi Jean Joseph,


If, apart from updates, nothing else can be installed either, then you'll probably see a message which contains:

     couldn't open RPM DB()


If that's the case, then your rpm database got corrupted. You can fix that by running the following commands as root:


    rm -f /var/lib/rpm/_*

    rpm --rebuilddb


In all other cases: please login to this bugreport and reply to the questions in comment 1

By any chance, are you using NFS for your homedir?

I tryed theses commands with any success

    rm -f /var/lib/rpm/_*

    rpm --rebuilddb
)

We need to know more.

Can you please try to install a package you don't yet have, e.g. ri-li, in a konsole/terminal as root, like this:

   urpmi ri-li 2>&1 | tee urpmi.txt

and attach urpmi.txt to this bug report.

Btw, do you use parental controls?

I suppose you meant _without_ any success?

No reply, I now suppose you meant "I tried these commands with success" (the word "any" in that sentence was confusing).
