Do we have "Web"?

This might be about epiphany instead.

I can see epiphany got installed, and:

* unknown package `epiphany-extensions'

That package does indeed not seem to exist.

I right clicked the icon in the task-bar, chose "about" and it calls itself "Web"
however, from terminal requires "epiphany" to run

This is _not_ an installer bug

I can confirm this bug.

Gnome Web (aka Epiphany) starts fine and then renders some pages right. When the above error occurs there are error messages in the system log. Copying the URL into a new tab renders the page without error in most cases.

Comment 7 Pasi Pärnänen 2016-10-02 16:40:03 CEST
The Gnome Web (aka Epiphany) browser is more or less impossible to use at the moment as too many pages are not rendered correctly.
Comment 8 Pasi Pärnänen 2017-02-04 15:22:31 CET
epiphany-3.22.6-1.mga6 improves the behaviour significantly.

Is this bug still valid for 6sta2?

fixed.

some websites report the following or similar:

" Woah. Your web browser is pretty retro.
That's cool, we still listen to records sometimes. But it does mean that some features of our site won't work for you.
If you can, we'd suggest upgrading to a modern web browser like the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer."
