(In reply to Morgan Leijström from comment #0) > ( Optimally we should also check how it works when installing other screen > capture alternatives, and for other DE . I suggest the last installed should > associate with the button? ) No, and that also doesn't make sense and will make the user experience worse. Key bindings are usually provided as a default by the respective desktop environment, and by simply installing another screenshot tool I don't want that to be the new default tool. Same for a text editor or web browser or whatever else I may be testing. Here it seems the default key binding for spectacle is simply missing, this was also reported e.g. here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=206600 CC:

mageia I can confirm the bug on a Cauldron installed yesterday. And somehow in the khotkeys settings (System settings > Shortcuts > Custom shortcuts) I have no "Screenshot" section, even though I have the /usr/share/khotkeys/spectacle.khotkeys file installed. Blocks:

17523 Still valid 6_s1 For manual setup of printscreen key see https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=11086 Is it still valid with Plasma 5.7 and KDE Applications 16.04.3 ? Fixed, thanks :) Details: In KDE System Settings, section Shortcuts, section "Custom web shortcuts" (or what it is in english/your language), there is now a new group "Screenshots" containing shortcuts to spectacle for various screenshot types. ( Sidenote Probably because i already had made one shortcut using the Print(screen) button manually, that new shortcut had no button associated. Tomorrow i will check on a non manually modified install and if not OK there repoen. ) Status:
