Description Dick Gevers 2016-05-26 12:54:50 CEST
Description of problem:

The *idx files of the isos show that the whole suite of packages appears to be pincluded,

but despite having chosen all forms of roles for the workstation, libre office is not fully installed:

'rpm -qa' shows installed packages only: libreoffice-opensymbol-fonts and libreoffice-data

In report.bug.xz that was attached to bug 18520 - see attachment 7840 [details] - I saw that among the many "unknown packages", there were several libreoffice ones.

[marja@cldrn_64 Downloads]$ xzcat bug18520report.bug.xz | grep "unknown package" | grep libreoffice
* unknown package `libreoffice-style-tango'
* unknown package `libreoffice-presenter-screen'
* unknown package `libreoffice-kde'
* unknown package `libreoffice-presentation-minimizer'
* unknown package `libreoffice-report-builder'
* unknown package `libreoffice-gnome'
[marja@cldrn_64 Downloads]$

Later in the logs, there are 30 libreoffice* packages that get unselected:

[marja@cldrn_64 Downloads]$ xzcat bug18520report.bug.xz | grep unselecting | grep libreoffice | wc -l
30
[marja@cldrn_64 Downloads]$

Comment 2 Ben McMonagle 2016-05-26 21:47:43 CEST
confirming the absence of L.O in i586

Comment 3 Anne Nicolas 2016-05-27 15:41:21 CEST
checking the list of missing package :
all of them except libreoffice-kde do not exist anymore in repository.
we do have libreoffice-kde4

so rpmsrate file is not up to date
Comment 4 Thierry Vignaud 2016-05-27 15:44:06 CEST
err I think the issue is that eg libreoffice-writer wasn't installed, isnt' it?
Cleaning rpmsrate is just additional bonus
Comment 5 Anne Nicolas 2016-05-27 15:44:31 CEST
Problem is rather below

* chosen libreoffice-ure-5.1.3.2-5.mga6.i586 for libuno_sal.so.3
* selecting libreoffice-ure-5.1.3.2-5.mga6.i586
* requiring libjvm.so,unzip(x86-32) for libreoffice-ure-5.1.3.2-5.mga6.i586
* chosen java-1.8.0-openjdk-headless-1.8.0.91-1.b14.1.mga6.i586 for libjvm.so
* selecting java-1.8.0-openjdk-headless-1.8.0.91-1.b14.1.mga6.i586
* requiring /usr/sbin/alternatives[*],copy-jdk-configs[>= 1.1-1],jpackage-utils,lksctp-tools,rootcerts-java,timezone-java[>= 2015d] for java-1.8.0-openjdk-headless-1.8.0.91-1.b14.1.mga6.i586
* no packages match /usr/sbin/alternatives[*] (it is either in skip.list or already rejected)
* unselecting java-1.8.0-openjdk-headless-1.8.0.91-1.b14.1.mga6.i586
* unselecting libreoffice-ure-5.1.3.2-5.mga6.i586
* unselecting libreoffice-math-5.1.3.2-5.mga6.i586
* unselecting libreoffice-pyuno-5.1.3.2-5.mga6.i586
* adding a reason to already rejected package java-1.8.0-openjdk-headless-1.8.0.91-1.b14.1.mga6.i586: unsatisfied /usr/sbin/alternatives[*]
Comment 6 Thierry Vignaud 2016-05-27 16:38:30 CEST
I would have though that a missing update-alternatives pkg would have broken quite a lot more stuff...
But why bcd doesn't ensure all deps are on the images?

Source RPM: classical isos dtd 20 May 2016 => classical isos dtd 20 May 2016, bcd

Comment 7 Anne Nicolas 2016-05-27 16:47:27 CEST
Well it's based on rpmcheck. It should have shout some nice messages. Seems not...

Fixed now by neoclust http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages?view=revision&revision=1018932

Build in progress
Comment 8 Thierry Vignaud 2016-05-27 17:04:55 CEST
Ah file deps strike again...
But we should requires "update-alternatives" (so called "virtual provides") instead of "chkconfig"
