Description of problem:Xawtv will not close in Gnome  x86-64 UEFI


Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:every time


Steps to Reproduce:
1.install Gnome only from above .iso in UEFI mode
2.reboot and log in
3.invke Xawtv
4.attempt to close - will fail

Hi Ben,

Thanks for the report.

Did you happen to try whether it closes fine in other DEs?

If you start (as root) 

    journalctl -f

before attempting to close Xawtv until after the attempt, do you then see anything odd? (Or just attach the output to this bug report)

yes, it closes fine in Plasma5,LXDE,Xfce,Mate + Cinnamon.

I am away from my test machine for a few hours, will check the journalctl -f when back at it, and post here

note:

if rebooting with with xawtv window still up after attempt to close, takes over 3 minutes.

if rebooting out without xawtv window up, takes a few seconds.

if it is important, how can I capture this shutdown?
