Steps to Reproduce:

1. On Mageia-6-sta1, install VirtualBox from Cauldron using urpmi
 
2. Install Guest Additions and appropriate Extension Pack

3. Ensure USB controller and USB2.0 are selected

4. Insert USB flash drive (or SD card - as used with Mageia-5 install)

5. Under USB: 'No device found'.

Same problem now with VBox 5.0.24-OSE r108355.

Inserting a flash drive does cause the Linux Device Notifier to appear, but VBox denies any USB device present.

Did you add your host user to group vboxusers?
(BTW if you want to share folders with host you also need to be in group vboxsf)

Yes, but since then I've done another install + 759-package Cauldron update on return from holiday, and re-installed the Mageia-6 VBox (this time 5.1.2) + extensions & additions.

Am pleased to say it *does* find USB flash drive, so - as far as I am concerned - this bug can be closed.

OK good.

Works for me too - after i also rebooted the system;
(before i rebooted folder sharing worked but nothing USB)
