6sta1 I'm pretty sure I've seen kalarm in XFCE, too, but thought it was a feature. I'd really like any set alarm to work regardless of which DE I use (I cannot currently see or even start it in Plasma5, though :-/) I don't think it's an installer bug, because for me it appeared in XFCE after a series of KDE5 updates, and because you have installed all DEs. CC'ing LXDE maintainer to see whether he thinks kalarm (when it works) should _not_ appear in LXDEs system tray if Plasma5 is installed, and whether he agrees that this is not caused by installer. marja11, nicolas.salguero If Kalarm works, then I still fail to see why this qualifies as a bug. If it doesn't work, or works in Plasma5, but not in LXDE/XFCE/Gnome (it is at least seen in the system tray of those DEs, when Plasma5 was installed), then only that would be a bug INHO. Adding Gnome and XFCE maintainers, too, now, in case they don't agree with me, CC:

jani.valimaa, olav Hi, I agree that, if Kalarm works, then it can be used in LXDE (in the same way the KDE games can be used in LXDE, for example). The only applications that I think must not be accessible from LXDE are those which manage the settings of KDE. Best regards, Nico.
