Please modify the bug summary to reflect this is request to add a new option to urpmi. (FWIW, urpme task-kde4 && urpmi task-kde4 already works). i think the good solution would be to fix version requires on task-kde for ex to add which amarok version we wants, ... and so on. CC:

RESOLVED well, my original request was something more like, recursively installing updates of packages (looking into requires and suggests) that way, dependencies of dependencies of packages would also be updated. Only upgrading part of the system between two releases is usually not as stable as upgrading the whole system (hidden unversionnated requires, ...) Priority:

Low (FWIW I am against versionated suggests too). well, my original suggestion still stands, an option that would install updates for each and every requirement and suggestion (unless --no-suggests) |
