The nvidia-current driver in Mageia 1 had a severe bug in KDE4 when the nVidia proprietary driver is used; with desktop effects enabled, maximising a window, e.g. konsole, would freeze the whole X server, and there'd be no way except using the Magic keys to reboot the system.

Test case:
- Install KDE4 (task-kde4-minimal at least) on a machine with a modern nVidia gfx card
- Reconfigure the gfx card to use the nVidia proprietary driver (you'll have to reboot)
- Log into KDE4 and enable the desktop effects (systemsettings -> Desktop Effects)
- Open a Konsole window and maximise it, it's expected to freeze the X server altogether (you many need to minimise -> maximise a couple of times); you'll have to use the Magic keys to reboot the system (press and hole Alt+Ctrl+PrntScreen, then type R S E I U B)
- Install the new nvidia-current-275.09.07 packages from the nonfree/updates_testing repository (make sure you have the -devel package matching your currently running kernel installed)
- Reboot OR log out, go to tty1, login as root and 'rmmod nvidia' then 'service -f dm'
- Log into KDE4, now with desktop effects enabled, try maximising a Konsole window, it shouldn't freeze the system

Fixed packages:
*nvidia-current*-275.09.07-1.mga1.*

Proposed Advisory text:
Due to a bug in the nVidia proprietary driver, maximizing some windows apps (notably Konsole) in KDE4 with the KDE4 desktop effects enabled would freeze the X server altogether. This update fixes this issue by updating the nVidia proprietary driver to 275.09.07, the current stable release in the 275.xx driver series.

With old driver i couldn't freeze my X when resizing window but got some glitches on screen. So finally i had to reload X anyway. With new driver from testing this is not happening anymore, so it seems to fix problems. No regressions so long.

@QA and sec teams: there're 3-4 users on the forums who reported the new driver fixed the issue, and they didn't report any regressions so far.

For me too the new driver fix the issue and has not any regression
