6-dev1 lib64mariadb18-10.1.13-1.mga6 should have hit your mirror at the same time as mariadb-client-10.1.13-1.mga6, two days before this report was filed. kdepimlibs-core-16.03.80-1.mga6 should have landed on your mirror a few hours later, so almost two days before you filed this bug. Can you please try again and maybe with a different mirror? Keywords:

NEEDINFO I'll give it a shot today. My mirror is: mirrors.kernel.org Ok ran the update on a new 6-dev1 install. 648 updates. One message at the end: 2 installation transactions failed There was a problem during the installation: grantleetheme = 2:16.03.80 is needed by lib64kf5grantleetheme5-2:16.03.80-3.mga6.x86_64 file /usr/share/sieve/scripts/copy/template.desktop from install of libksieve-2:16.03.80-1.mga6.x86_64 conflicts with file from package kmail-2:15.12.3-2.mga6.x86_64 that left another dozen or so to do. Let those install, reboot and was successful to get back to a working desktop. Actually looking pretty decent.

Summary:
Package conflict + missing package during update =>
Package conflicts & missing packages during update I've renamed this bug as I think for the time being it's gonna be an on going thing and probably change constantly. Here's what I got today: 1 installation transactions failed There was a problem during the installation: file /usr/share/knotifications5/messageviewer.notifyrc from install of messagelib-2:16.03.80-1.mga6.x86_64 conflicts with file from package messageviewer-2:15.12.3-2.mga6.x86_64 There was a problem during the installation: file /usr/share/knotifications5/messageviewer.notifyrc from install of messagelib-2:16.03.80-1.mga6.x86_64 conflicts with file from package messageviewer-2:15.12.3-2.mga6.x86_64 messagelib = 2:16.03.80 is needed by lib64kf5messagelist5-2:16.03.80-1.mga6.x86_64 Slightly different then yesterday. Yeah, the ones you had before shouldn't have been there, at least not when you filed this bug report, but I've since seen plenty of other "KDE" conflicts in cauldron, too I haven't tried yet since yesterday morning, but know neoclust has been updating a lot of his packages. @ neoclust Should it all update fine, now, or didn't you finish, yet? Keywords:
NEEDINFO =>
6dev1 updating should work fine now: 2016:04:05:09:22 < marja> neoclust: did you finish with the kdepim etc. updates? 2016:04:05:09:22 < marja> neoclust: in cauldron 2016:04:05:09:23 < neoclust> marja: yes (In reply to Marja van Waes from comment #7) > updating should work fine now: > concluded that too fast :-/ 2016:04:05:09:25 < neoclust> marja: i think we have a lot of conflicts, reports are welcome :) Late this afternoon a standard update resulted in KDE/Plasma going off line. That in that after a reboot the only GUI available was IceWM. Not quite sure what to do next. I have made a separate install of openSUSE 42.1 LEAP and learning on that.

17523 would be interesting to have urpmi logs. If not we can't help :-( (In reply to Nicolas Lécureuil from comment #10) > would be interesting to have urpmi logs. If not we can't help :-( I am patiently waiting for the next Live media, due shortly. This bug is likely to become irrelevant. conflicts should be OK now. Status:
