Bug 18089

Description of problem:

I'm using an empty (no partition table, no partitions) 16GB raw image to install Cauldron from Mageia-6-dev1-x86_64-DVD.iso (16-Mar-2016) to a VM in qemu on an Arch host with this commandline:

The partitioner module recognizes the disk as "VirtIO block device (16GB)" in the pulldown menu where you can select the disk to use. Choosing "Custom disk patitioning" presents an emtpy vda-device, but cannot create any partition on it. The error message in the popup window is "Partitioning failed: current_hd called but $current_kind is not an hd ()."

Choosing "Use entire disk" takes you to the next step of the installation process, but leaves a window with the partitioner in front open.

Another workaround is to create the partition table, partitions and file systems on the host and choose "Use existing partitions"
