Description of problem:

The new icon for Sound and Video application category is not loading properly.
It is available in common-data/menu/icons/video_section (with large and mini versions in respective folders).
Please someone make necessary change to load it.

Still valid in Plasma5, there's no icon... Is it valid for all DEs?

Also IIRC all icons for games categories disappeared from the Plasma5 menu a few weeks ago, would it be related?

hmm, here I do have the game categories icon, but I still don't have the sound and video one. So that might be different.

Hi,

I found that the file /usr/share/desktop-directories/mandriva-soundvideo.directory, from package desktop-common-data, searches for an icon named "multimedia_section" and not "video_section".

I reopen this bug because there is more icons that are not showing in the menu, here is a list:

I fixed the icons for all those files in git, except for mandriva-hidden.directory.in.
I'm not sure what this file does, and so which icon to use for it.

So ok fixed now with desktop-common-data-6.1-1.mga6.
