Description w unruh 2016-03-19 09:42:26 CET
Description of problem:
This package seems to be designed to download and prepare the intel and amd microcode. However, the key file, /etc/rc.d/init.d/microcode-ctl which is called by the /usr/sbin/update-intel-microcode does not exist anymore. The monthy cron job thus fails, as does the applet that seems to run every time kde is started.
This package either needs to be removed, or /etc/init.d/microcode-ctl needs to be reinstated. (Is there a systemd equivalent?)
