Description of problem:
I have two aptops side by side;
the one running Xfce shows the update applet to start retrieval of the updates, the one running Plasma does not show the applet

After rebooting after yesterday's updates, the update applet shows, so OK  for now

Not OK, clicking on the exclamation mark does not start any action.
