No. Snapshot here (could not find a Mageia-6 screensnapshot app): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10969499/dup-systray.JPG (In reply to Maurice Batey from comment #3) > Snapshot here (could not find a Mageia-6 screensnapshot app): > there is a report for that ;)

6dev1 i removed kmix in default install Noticed that the duplicate systrays both reflected any changes. Having installed latest classical 64-bit .iso -->Plasma, I was able to find 'Systray Options' in the systray area, and selected 'Delete this systray'. Result: Only 1 copy of systray What must have happened is that - way back when trying a Cauldron update on Mageia-5 - there was no systray and I manually added one. Along came Mageia-6 and added a clone of the existing systray. N.B. Still no Dropbox icon in systray (nor in my various Mageia-5 installations, where it used to appear but has vanished in recent weeks, so have to access Dropbox with 'nautilus ~/Dropbox). (In reply to Maurice Batey from comment #6) > What must have happened is that - way back when trying a Cauldron update > on Mageia-5 - there was no systray and I manually added one. Along came > Mageia-6 and added a clone of the existing systray. I would propose to close this issue then as it was apparently due to your existing configuration. Please make sure to mention when you make a bug report that you are reusing a $HOME folder that was also used for Mageia 5 or early Mageia 6 versions. The most interesting issues from a bug triaging and Q&A perspective are: - issues that appear after a clean install in a clean $HOME (i.e. that would likely hit everybody) - issues that appear after an upgrade from a relatively "normal" Mageia 5 system (not thousands of customizations and user-installed addons). For the Dropbox icon issue, it might be bug 17592. If not, please make sure that a bug report is open for it. Status:

RESOLVED Point taken! In fact I have previously stated the use of Mageia-5 $HOME (e.g. when trying Cauldron update on Mageia-5), but failed to continue to say that when doing fresh installs. > ..interesting issues from a bug triaging and Q&A perspective are: > ... > - issues that appear after an upgrade from a relatively "normal" Mageia 5 > system (not thousands of customizations and user-installed addons). Perhaps the minority of current Mageia-5 users?! > For the Dropbox icon issue, it might be bug 17592. Perhaps not. Something mysterious about the appearance of the Dropbox icon in systray: Not only has it disappeared recently from all my Mageia-5 installs, but with Mageia-6-dev1 it did appear at one time, then not. Will raise a bug report for that - and also for continual failure of Pan newsreader to start in Mageia-6-dev1. |
