qBittorent had a lot of bugfixes http://www.qbittorrent.org/news.php for two others I didn't manage to find the changelogs fast, for the third FF crashed when trying to view it. However, I assume that for such software, it is safer to have the most recent version, anyway. CC'ing maintainers transmission akien deluge tarakbumba qbittorrent pasmatt rtorrent remmy Please file a separate bug report if you decide to push a new version to 5 updates_testing, and set that report to block this one. (Btw, I did not check the cauldron versions, leaving that to the maintainers) Keywords:

TRACKER Ehmm, our https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Updates_policy ? Reporter, if you want to see newer versions of mentioned torrent clients than please open a backport request, so we may try to backport them to Mga5. Thanks. As mentioned by Atilla, we usually only push bugfixes and security fixes to stable releases. For Transmission, version 2.84 was the lastest stable release when Mageia 5 was released, and version 2.90, 2.91 and 2.92 were only released a few days ago, so I wouldn't call us "outdated" yet. The changelog shows mostly bug fixes though, so I'll maybe provide an update to mga5: https://trac.transmissionbt.com/browser/trunk/NEWS (In reply to Rémi Verschelde from comment #3) > > The changelog shows mostly bug fixes though, so I'll maybe provide an update > to mga5: https://trac.transmissionbt.com/browser/trunk/NEWS Keeping this report in case Rémi wants to do that. Removing the tracker and the other packages. @ Erik It is OK to open backport requests (1 per package) for the other packages. Keywords:

(none) Given the work that I have on Cauldron / Mageia 6, and since this wouldn't cater to an actual bug that Mageia 5 users are having with transmission, I'll pass on that update (and I guess other maintainers would feel the same for the other packages). Sorry for the late decision, this went under my radar for a while :) Status:
