Here is the last maintenance update for Darktable in the 1.6.x branch. New upstream branch is 2.0.x, that I will push in backports.

Updated darktable package provides maintenance release

  This update brings darktable to the latest upstream maintenance release in the
  1.6.x branch, i.e. darktable 1.6.9.

  It fixes some minor bugs and adds support for some more devices.

Verified that lua 5.2 was installed.
Installed darktable 1.6.8

No way to connect my camera to the PC so had to fall back on importing images.
Selected some and manipulated the exposure in darkroom and exported them to /tmp.  Tried out slideshow mode.

Installed darktable-1.6.9-1.mga5 and tried out various darkroom operations on images from the earlier collection.  Everything looked fine.  Good to go.
