Description of problem: When applications crash and the crash report info-box pops up,choosing the developer pane gives text: "the crash information could not be generated." "The debugger application is missing or could not be launched", " you need to first install the debugger application (gdb) then click reload"

adding gdb allows debugger info to be displayed

1.boot the above .iso and attempt to cause an application to crash
2.when bug report info-box pops up, above text is displayed in the developer info pane

Hi Ben, 

Is this bug still valid with the newest Mageia-6-dev1-LiveDVD-PLASMA5-x86_64-DVD.iso ?

Please add new Date.txt again when it's still valid or close this report as fixed when it got fixed :-)

I'm wondering... using gdb only makes sense if, for the application that crashed, you have the related debug packages.

However, it doesn't make sense to have all debug packages on the Live iso for each and every application it contains.

So, since you'll need to install debug packages, anyway, you might as well install gdb along with them ;-)

(Not closing this report, though, but leaving it to tmb to decide)

We wont add gdb to live isos as it pulls devel stuff in, and live isos are already too big
