Description of problem: when launching more than 1 instance of Abiword, all have the same title : *untitled1
it would be better if the title incremented when more than 1 instance of    *untitled occurs

How reproducible:every time


Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install all DE at once from above .iso
2. login to Cinnamon or LXDE 
3. launch multiple instances of Abiword
4. all share the same title : *untitled1

I can reproduce this issue on my v6 x86-64 Xfce desktop, but I don't think it's a bug. New instances may have their own state, and if you want the names of the documents to be different, then you should save them (which is a good idea to do as soon as possible anyway). Resolving.

the issue is more that:
starting multiple instances from the launcher  all titles are the same.

starting new instances from within an existing Abiword window using "new" results in incrementing "*untitled(n)"

this is an inconsistancy. yes?
bug. no?

It is apparently incapable of finding the name of an unsaved document, unless you start the new document from it.

That sounds quite normal to me.

As Shlomi said, you should save new documents as soon as possible. That's a good habit to help prevent unneeded loss of documents and of what's in them. 

I don't see why the Abiword developers or our Abiword maintainer should fix a "bug" that only exists if you have a bad habit ;-)

I agree with Marja here. It's not really a bug and not really a serious one at that.
