Description of problem: If during install of above.iso, choosing "custom disk install" will present the HDD list ie:sda, sdb...etc as tabs, but no partitions are displayed in the table. Toggle the expert button or choose another tab and the table displays the partitions. This behaviour is also apparent in the installed system if "manage disk partitions" is launched in MCC

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install from above .iso and choose "custom disk partitioning" on real hardware
2.An empty table is presented with tabs or existing HDDs
3.toggle the expert mode button or choose another tab [ if available]  and the table is populated with the partition information

There's a gtk+3.0 regression which changed the way or order of signal firing.
This already resulted in a first issue, a crash (see bug #17484)

I can reproduce this too in diskdrake. Clicking on one of the coloured labels (partition formats) causes a crash:

  current_hd called but $current_kind is not an hd () at /usr/lib/libDrakX/diskdrake/hd_gtk.pm line 408.

when installing from live DE, partition info is displayed correctly

but,
valid when launching "manage disk partitions" from installed system
