On my recently upgraded cauldron, kmix does not seem to start automatically with plasma5, I always have to start it manually to get it showing.

better use plasma-pa ( see if it is installed ).

plasma-pa was not installed automatically, but it was fixed since: http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages?view=revision&revision=925006
