What do you mean by "still defunct"? Where did you report this previously?
And at the very least provide the output of

ps -ef|grep -v grep|grep wallet

Err - the other report is about pam_kwallet config, and not about kwalletd ending up as a zombie process. How did you check that this is your issue?

uninstalling pam_kallet resolve the problem as said in https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16143 and kwalletd is child process of kdm.
