After some time firmware gets loaded successfully: [ 186.962162] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: loaded firmware version 16.242414.0 op_mode iwlmvm [ 187.001985] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: Detected Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless AC 7265, REV=0x184 [ 187.002381] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: L1 Enabled - LTR Enabled [ 187.002826] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: L1 Enabled - LTR Enabled [ 187.076710] ieee80211 phy0: Selected rate control algorithm 'iwl-mvm-rs' [ 187.080868] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0 wlo1: renamed from wlan0 Yeah, Intel has not officially submitted api 18 or api 17 firmwares upstream yet, they are only in the iwlwifi tree so far... That's why it falls back to user helper loader to load the older ones I will look into syncing with iwlwifi tree soon-ish if they dont push upstream in some days... Same wifi working under Mageia5 very weii and quicly. Newest upstream available iwlwifi firmware pushed as part of kernel-firmware-nonfree-20160127-1.mga6 / iwlwifi-agn-ucode-20160127-1.mga6 Status:
