Description Gilles Allard 2015-12-30 21:34:43 CET
Installation fails just after disk partitioning. Message is in the title.
Installation was over a Mandriva 2010 installation.
Installation from DVD. mdasum is OK.
I found a way around: in disk partitioning, I removed specification to mount the /var partition. I will recreate /var mount after installation.

Looks like bug 10340 for Mageia3

Do you still have logs from the installation in which this failure occurred (like in the previous bug)?

What was special about this /var partition?

No I do not have the log.(In reply to Thierry Vignaud from comment #2)
> What was special about this /var partition?

Nothing special except for a web site and a mysql DB.

I'm afraid we will not be able to investigate without logs. If you can reproduce, please reopen this bug report with the report.bug file attached to it, produced in the following way:

Switch to console 2 (by pressing 'Ctrl-Alt-F2') during installation, put a floppy in floppy drive or plug a USB key/stick and type: 'bug' then press Enter. It will put report.bug on the floppy/key.

Closing as OLD until it can hopefully be reopened with debug information.
