mageia ksnapshot has unfortunately been retired upstream, so the new spectacle package just needs to obsolete it. OK. I was able to install "spectacle" and seems it's working. If spectacle is replacement of "ksnapshot" then good idea would be remove this package from repository or provide KDE4 version with KDE4 libraries like in Kubuntu. Current situation (in Mageia Cauldron repository) is a bit misleading for those who have not heard about any replacement and/or didn't follow news about porting ksnapshot to KF5. I found something about successor of ksnapshot here: https://blogs.kde.org/2015/08/12/ksnapshot-next. Author described his work over "KScreenGenie", which looks very similar to "spectacle". Maybe this is the same application but name has been changed. Anyway. Thanks for info. I hope it will helpful for someone. Please do something with obsolete ksnapshot and you can close this bug report. Status:

RESOLVED The bug isn't fixed yet, better close it once ksnapshot is actually obsoleted. Regarding the name, the KDE guys changed their minds at least 3 times on the new name yeah :) Status:
