Summary:
mga6: Unable to set any Detailed Settings in Regional Settings =>
6_s1: Unable to set any Detailed Settings in Regional Settings I tried to reproduce the bug. Default region is United States - American English (en_US). I switch all detailed settings to Germany (nds_DE). I don't know which code that is, butch changes are made and kept. If you don't see any changes in the examples, it simply means that the variant is not supported upstream. Ulrich Beckmann CC:

time/date selection
When I click the date/time option I expect to see something close to what I see in this screen shot.

Problem is changing the date format. See the example at the bottom of that screen. Your screenshot is KDE4 on mga5, this seems not to be plasma 5 on Cauldron, no? CC:

geiger.david68210 The problem is that "Detailed Settings" in plasma5 does not offer alternative formats for each item - just alternative locales. So, for example, if my main locale is en_Gb in order to use Metric measurements instead of Imperial I must find a locale that uses metric in the list of locales offered in the drop down list after "Measurement Units". To change the date format one must find a locale that uses the desired format. There is also no option to select AM/PM or long/short, although such options are available in the digital clock settings. In KDE4 all of these options are explicitly provided in System Settings. CC:

jim (In reply to David GEIGER from comment #6) > Your screenshot is KDE4 on mga5, Yes. > this seems not to be plasma 5 on Cauldron, > no? Yes, those same controls are NOT on plasma 5 running on Cauldron. $ cat /etc/sysconfig/desktop DISPLAYMANAGER=sddm DESKTOP=PLASMA5 $ cat /etc/release Mageia release 6 (Cauldron) for x86_64 [bittwister@wb ~]$
