Hi Thewada! Thanks for the report. On x86-64 Cauldron, GIMP gets stuck after completing the cage tool. I am unable to reproduce the problem on gimp-2.18.4 built from source against gegl-0.2, but the Mageia GIMP was patched to use gegl-0.3.x which does not seem to be officially released yet. It's hard for me to work like that. One thing I can try is to create a gegl0.2 package and use that hoping it will fix the problem with GIMP. Regards, -- Shlomi Fish As an update, problem still seems to persist even in mga6 and probably still in cauldron, as reported via https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=12326. Same issue also affects Ubuntu, see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gimp/+bug/1614593 which was fixed by building it against gegl-0.2 CC:

doktor5000 Workaround for users needing this functionality: as suggested in the given forum thread there is appimage and flatpak of Gimp. Howto: https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Ways_to_install_programs#Universal_package_formats Florian, you mentioned cauldron also seem to be affected. Crashing is normally considered a major or critical bug (user may loose work) Severity:

major gimp-2.10.10-1.mga7 Playing with this tool - I cannot make it crash. Unsure about "when the cage is completed". I assume it was fixed in 2.10. Re-open the bug if you find differently. Status:
