I'm not sure our bugzilla should be used for teasers of new versions, but assigning to maintainer anyway.

New version 0.36.0 was released.

A hierarchical note taking application, featuring rich text and syntax highlighting, storing data in a single xml or sqlite file.

I agree. However, cherrytree is now updated. Closing as FIXED.
