Description of problem:

When playing html5 video, the sound is missing and switching to full screen mode is not possible

In about:config, set full-screen-api.enabled to true

I'll see if I can set this setting and the other one by default for 2.39.

Sound is complicated as mozilla software can now use both gstreamer and libavcodec. But sound output works for me in cauldron (2.39), I will also check in mga5 as usual (youtube without plugins installed).

Maybe you can check on http://hpr.dogphilosophy.net/test/ which audio formats work and which don't work. For me only FLAC doesn't work.

Okay, setting full-screen-api.enabled to true worked.

I did the test and it's the same here, only FLAC doesn't work.

Make sure you have gstreamer1.0-plugins-good gstreamer1.0-plugins-ugly and gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad installed with the 'tainted' repository enabled. I found one video where AAC sound does not work in MGA5 but others work fine including the bucks bunny trailer on http://www.w3schools.com/HTML/html5_video.asp

Okay, I installed the tainted versions

rpm -qa|grep gstreamer1.0-plugins
gstreamer1.0-plugins-base-1.4.3-2.mga5
gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad-1.4.3-2.mga5.tainted
gstreamer1.0-plugins-good-1.4.3-2.mga5
gstreamer1.0-plugins-ugly-1.4.3-2.mga5.tainted

but there is still no sound, not even with the bucks bunny trailer.

Sorry I wasn't clear, the only package from tainted you need is lib(64)avcodec56 . All necessary gstreamer packages are already in iceape requires, so I shouldn't have mentioned them.

Ah, with li64avcodec iceape is playing videos with sound, thanks !
