CC'ing all packagers collectively, because the K3B maintainer seems MIA.

Looking at these logs, brasero gets the same error as k3b, and both of them fail because the ISO is too big to fit on a 700MB CD. The logs indicate that the ISO is 719MB and both burns abort after 702MB have been written.

Where did the ISO come from ? Is this a copy of a commercial CD or did you author it yourself, and if so with what ? Have you or anyone else been able to burn this successfully ?

Assuming that a 719MB ISO can be written to a 700MB blank at all, it could be that your burner can't handle "pushing the envelope". It's not uncommon for DVD burners which are starting to wear out to be able to burn 4.7GB ISOs successfully but fail on larger ones even using DL (8GB) media.

CC: (none) => ftg

Thanks for the comment you gave, Frank.

@ Angelo

You never replied ;-)

Closing as OLD (also because Mageia 5 has officially reached its End of Life on December 31st, 2017 https://blog.mageia.org/en/2017/11/07/mageia-5-eol-postponed/
It only continued to get important security updates since then, because we are waiting for a big Plasma5 update in Mageia 6, that'll fix many of the Mageia 5 => 6 upgrade issues).

Resolution: (none) => OLD
Status: NEW => RESOLVED
