set version to cauldron, because package requests will usually be done for cauldron first and then be available in next stable release

xosview is in cauldron and mageia 2.

it has been submitted to core/updates_testing for Mageia 1 several months ago. It should be either assigned to qa-bugs@ml.mageia.org with a list of SRPMs and RPMs, proposal advisory and if possible steps for testing basic functionality, or removed (if so, create a new bug report for sysadmin-bugs@ml.mageia.org and fix this one)

You misunderstood. I talked only about removing it from the updates_testing media, not from the distribution :)

Mageia 1 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on ''1st December''. Mageia 1 is no 
longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or 
bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. 

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Mageia 
please feel free to click on "Version" change it against that version of Mageia and reopen this bug.
