x86_64 Does it work to connect to an open AP? (In reply to Olivier FAURAX from comment #4) > Does it work to connect to an open AP? I haven't tried that. I have updated everything currently in updates/testing (kernel, firmware,â¦) and now it is connecting to the WLAN for a short time and then it is disconnecting again. I have tested an Ubuntu 14.04.3 live version, WLAN connection is working fine. As I mentioned before, it was working fine in Mageia 4 as well. Do you need more information to assign this bug?

tmb Just asking to be sure.. services network and network-up are disabled and stopped? And you are using only 'plugins=keyfile' in /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf ? I've seen ifcfg plugin causing trouble. CC:

mageia I have disabled the services network and network-up using systemctl. Then I have removed ifcfg-rh from NetworkManager.conf. Now I can connect to WLAN. These settings must have been left over from Mageia 4 as I haven't touched any of them before. You probably also want to go into drakx-net and explicitly delete the wireless interface in case harddrake2 decides to rear its head and start interfering. CC:

ftg I experienced same on three Laptop that I upgraded in the last days from 4 to 5: No Wifi-connection afterwards. I disabled NetworkManager-Service, and immediately Wifi worked again. CC:

chmos It's over 17 months ago since this issue was last reported and Mageia 4 was EOL'ed even longer ago. It is very unlikely that anyone will still hit this problem. I've seen no reports about a similar issue for Mageia 5 to Cauldron or e.g. 6sta2 upgrades Closing as OLD Status:
