I noticed a DBUS error message: dolphin(19907)/kdecore (K*TimeZone*): KSystemTimeZones: ktimezoned initialize() D-Bus call failed: "Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken." This makes it look very much like an instance of the following KDE bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331857 Some info from .xsession-errors: When the problem occurs, I get thousands of times this: Error response: "The name org.kde.bluedevilmonolithic was not provided by any .service files" Then a bunch of times this: Error response: "Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken."

mageia (In reply to Jérôme Hénin from comment #2) > Some info from .xsession-errors: > > When the problem occurs, I get thousands of times this: > Error response: "The name org.kde.bluedevilmonolithic was not provided by > any .service files" > This looks like a duplicate of bug 16072. Please, could you try to update lib64bluedevil2-2.1 and bluedevil to lib64bluedevil2-2.1-1.1.mga5.x86_64.rpm bluedevil-2.1.1-1.mga5.x86_64.rpm from mga5 core/updates_testing (these packages are currently in validation by QA team). Thanks, this update has solved the problem. Status:
