Summary:
mga4 cannot be installed in a cauldron chroot because of dep =>
mga5 cannot be installed in a cauldron chroot because of dep i have committed the change in SVN, but want a second opinion before submitting. There is a thread on the dev-ml but no conclusion if to go ahead. Can you give a link to this dev ML thread? I don't see it. (In reply to Rémi Verschelde from comment #3) > Can you give a link to this dev ML thread? I don't see it. this is the Thread. Iurt on cauldron doesn't want to create chroot for mga5 Alright I found it: https://ml.mageia.org/l/arc/dev/2015-06/msg00481.html This bug is now resolved by removing the dep. The following packages are now in upgrades_testing: filesystem-2.1.9-25.1.mga5.src.rpm filesystem-2.1.9-25.1.mga5.x86_64.rpm and i586 assigning it to QA CC:

In Mageia 5 64, I installed the update, rebooted, system works well. In the RPM, the only change is that the following Requires has been removed: rpmlib(X-CheckUnifiedSystemdir). No change to the actual files in the package so no regression expected at all. URL:

MGA5-64-OK Has anyone tested a clean install with updates testing enabled? I'll try it later today. CC:

davidwhodgins Finally got around to trying it. No problems found. Still need a proper advisory. Advisory: It was discovered during a mga5 chroot installation, mga5 cannot be installed because of a dependency problem: rpmlib(X-CheckUnifiedSystemdir) is needed by filesystem-2.1.9-25.mga5.x86_64 This dependency was introduced during the usrmove, revision 223193: # RPM runtime check in the buildroot; this ensures we can not install the # incompatible filesystem.rpm on unconverted systems Requires: rpmlib(X-CheckUnifiedSystemdir) All our systems have a converted system and we don't upgrade from unconverted systems
