Its for watching and recording online-mediathek movies from german tv-stations (ARD, ZDF, Arte, 3Sat, SWR, BR, MDR, NDR, WDR, HR, RBB, ORF, SF).

Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes.

The developer of this tool stopped the working on it (
MediathekView forum message from 21. Okt. 2016).
