Thanks for taking the time to report that. However, as you can read in the Errata, upgrade from Mageia 4 in BIOS mode to Mageia 5 UEFI is not supported, thus the failures. I advise to install a clean Mageia 5 UEFI instead of upgrading. Status:

RESOLVED I believe everything is working as expected regarding a Mageia 5 UEFI upgrade. Besides having to run drakboot after the upgrade, I fixed the lack of grub theme during boot and the gnu/linux option (instead of Mageia) adding the following lines to /etc/default/grub GRUB_THEME="/boot/grub2/themes/maggy/theme.txt" GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR=Mageia then running "update-grub2; grub2-install;" Perhaps not the ideal but a simple solution for this upgrade.
