alien I did a build for cauldron at least, i'm gonna see if i can also do an update to mga4. Update has been submitted to updates_testing could you test it? My computer was updated to mga5 in the meantime, so I tested the beid-middleware available in updates_testing for x86_64 and it is working fine, I was able to login to the taxonweb site using my belgian eid. oh, i just submitted an update to mga4 too... :-S tbh, i realized it was a problem when my wife wanted to used it yesterday...

qa-bugs I have tested it on my old i586 laptop (also running mga5) and it works too. Although, I had a little problem, this was the first time I tried to use the card reader on that computer, so installing beid-middleware pulled the pcsc-lite package, but I had to manually start the pcscd service. Without that service, the card reader was not properly detected. Shouldn't the pcscd service be started automatically? Or at the have a post-install message in the beid-middleware package saying that the service should started for card readers to be detected? I will try to test it also on another computer still running mga4. An advisory and response to comment 6 are needed before this update can be pushed. CC:

davidwhodgins (In reply to Dave Hodgins from comment #7) > An advisory and response to comment 6 are needed before this update can be > pushed. ping Al13N. Is there anything else I should be doing? I already tested the package on i586 and x86_64. Just waiting for al13n to provide a proper advisory. When that's done, it will be uploaded to svn, and used by the scripts that push updates from the updates testing, to the updates repositories, and published for the public. (In reply to Renaud Michel from comment #9) > Is there anything else I should be doing? > I already tested the package on i586 and x86_64. Renaud, you did a great job, and thank you for your persistance. It looks to me from your Comment 3 & Comment 6 (nearly 2 months old) that this should have been OK'd back then. I am doing it now for Mageia 5. We need the advisory to clear this, though. But for Mageia 4? Should this be MGA4TOO ? It is not in the Mageia 4 list. @AL13N Please clarify this point. Renaud offered to try it, Comment 6. And your Comment 4 & Comment 5 look like you have already done so. CC:

lewyssmith Sorry, but I don't have a MGA4 box anymore (was updated last month), so I won't be able to test it there. I don't think it is worth updating it for MGA4, having it sufficently up to date on the latest stable release should be enough, MGA4 is nearly EOL anyway. Validating. Keywords:
